For this edition of The AP Journal, we speak with Stephanie — a new mother, store manager, and someone for whom fashion has long been a form of expression and grounding.
Between change and continuity, she reflects on identity in a new phase of life, on the quiet strength found in everyday rituals, and on the pieces we wear close when everything shifts.
WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT IN YOUR DAILY LIFE OR WORK?
My name is Stephanie, I became a mom around three months ago, and I work as a store manager for a Zurich-based brand. Fashion has been part of my life for a long time — to me it’s an expression of personality and emotion. Even now, in the midst of change, it gives me a sense of identity and strength.
WHAT DOES JEWELRY MEAN TO YOU — IN EVERYDAY LIFE OR IN SPECIAL MOMENTS?
Jewelry is something very personal to me and simply part of my daily life. It’s not an extra, but part of my look. I naturally mix gold and silver — effortlessly and in whatever way feels right. Jewelry reflects my mood and makes every outfit feel more like me.
IS THERE A PIECE OF JEWELRY THAT ACCOMPANIES YOU ESPECIALLY OR TELLS A STORY?
My birthstone ring from you. The birthstones of my daughter, my partner and myself make it a very personal piece. It reminds me every day of family, closeness, and how much is changing right now — and how beautiful that is.
WHAT CURRENTLY INSPIRES YOU OR GIVES YOU STRENGTH?
Calm. Honest conversations. People who do things with heart. And moments where nothing has to be “perfect”, just real.
IF SOMEONE LOOKED FOR YOU IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD — WHERE WOULD THEY MOST LIKELY FIND YOU?
Between walks with my daughter and meeting friends in Zurich, I almost always end up at Café Solané — a fashion store with timeless essentials and a café inside. Effortless and exactly my style.
