The AP Journal: Conversation with Sibylle

For this edition of The AP Journal, we speak with Sibylle — a food stylist, mother of two girls, and lover of life’s simple pleasures.
Between creative work, family life, and moments spent in nature, she shares what inspires her, the pieces of jewelry that accompany her through different chapters of life, and why the most meaningful objects are often the ones that quietly become part of everyday rituals.

WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT IN YOUR DAILY LIFE OR WORK?

I’m Sibylle — mom to two amazing little girls and our dog Alfie, who all keep life wonderfully chaotic. My world pretty much revolves around them. My days are a mix of playgrounds, snack negotiations, and working as a food stylist, which basically means I get to make food look beautiful for a living. I love the simple things in life — yoga, nature, fresh air, sunshine, good food, traveling, and spending time with my girlfriends.

WHAT DOES JEWELRY MEAN TO YOU — IN EVERYDAY LIFE OR DURING SPECIAL MOMENTS?

For me, jewelry is something very personal. I love pieces that feel effortless and can be worn every day but still carry a story or a memory. Especially since becoming a mom, I appreciate jewelry that feels timeless — something that quietly becomes part of your life and one day ends up in your daughters’ jewelry box.

IS THERE A PIECE OF JEWELRY THAT ACCOMPANIES YOU OR TELLS A SPECIAL STORY?

Fun fact: I actually don’t own that much jewelry. Besides two heirlooms from my grandmother, I wear AP jewelry exclusively. I love my engagement ring I got from my man a few years back. And I’m so proud to say that it was the first one Ann ever made beside her own (or at least I think so hehe). I also love the necklace he got for me with our first daughter's name on it, I never take it off. And now I’m looking forward to a bracelet with my second daughters name on it hint hint wink wink lol. And of course I looove my pomander, that was a gift to myself when i started my own business and it still is my lucky charm.

WHAT WOULD YOU CONSIDER THE SIGNATURE PIECE OF ANN PERICA?

I’d say the medallions or the pomander and also the style of the single stone engagement rings — I feel like I would recognize an AP right away.

WHAT CURRENTLY INSPIRES YOU OR GIVES YOU STRENGTH?

Oh gosh so many things. Recently I watched a video of a guy training his parents — they were doing ninja-style mobility workouts, body weight only and are super fit. That inspired me to workout like that in order to be able to keep up with my girls til I’m old and wrinkly :) For my work I find inspiration at local and foreign markets, restaurants, beach clubs... What gives me strength is the ocean. I love going head under water, that always makes me feel so refreshed, humble and calm. Something so special about water, definitely my element.

IF SOMEONE WERE LOOKING FOR YOU IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD — WHERE WOULD THEY MOST LIKELY FIND YOU?

I’d say Kafi Freud next to the park / woods where i take my girls and dog almost every day. we usually stop for matcha, croissants & babyccinos and then go play. The staff there is so kind and the chocolate chip cookie to die for.
