For this edition of The AP Journal, we speak with Lara — a familiar presence behind the scenes at ANN PERICA and part of the journey almost from the very beginning.
Between structure and creativity, growth and everyday routine, she reflects on what it means to build a brand over time and to identify deeply with the people behind it. From shared ambitions at work to quiet mornings in the countryside, Lara shares how jewelry accompanies her daily life.
WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT DRIVES YOU IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE OR WORK?
I’m Lara, and I’ve been part of ANN PERICA for five years. I had the great privilege of being involved almost from the very beginning and helping to build the brand — developing structures, shaping processes, and watching the business grow step by step. That’s exactly what I love: bringing something to life and shaping its growth.
What makes it especially meaningful is being able to truly identify with a brand and the people behind it. It makes it even more fun to work with people who feel like family. Being surrounded by gemstones, diamonds, and exceptional pieces of jewelry every day is of course a privilege — but what fulfills me even more is the shared passion and the common goal of creating something valuable and lasting.
Beyond my work, I find joy in the small things in life. I love living in the countryside, being able to step outside anytime, and going for walks with Charlie, my dog. The early morning belongs to me — those quiet hours give me clarity and energy for the day ahead.
WHAT DOES JEWELRY MEAN TO YOU — IN DAILY LIFE OR FOR SPECIAL MOMENTS?
For me, jewelry is something that brings a special, elegant feeling to everyday life — a little sparkle you carry with you. I feel this most with my engagement ring. Whenever I see it shimmer in the light with its soft yellow tone, it makes me smile. It’s these small, everyday moments that make jewelry so meaningful to me.
IS THERE A PIECE OF JEWELRY THAT HAS A SPECIAL STORY OR MEANING FOR YOU?
My engagement ring. It holds a special meaning for me, as it represents not only my love for my partner Yuni, but also our favorite place in Greece, where he proposed in summer 2023.
The light yellow diamond reflects a color that has always accompanied me and remains my absolute favorite. To me, it feels like a piece of the Greek sun – especially just before sunset, when everything is wrapped in warm, golden light.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU RIGHT NOW OR GIVES YOU STRENGTH?
I’m in an intense but very special phase of my life right now. The upcoming renovation and the excitement of our wedding mark the beginning of a new chapter, which inspires me and fills me with strength and gratitude.
At the same time, new visions energize me. Growing projects, staying creative, and turning dreams into reality step by step are what motivate me every day.
IF SOMEONE WERE LOOKING FOR YOU IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, WHERE WOULD THEY MOST LIKELY FIND YOU?
On my favorite walk, right outside our house, which leads up to a bench built by my grandfather.
As you walk up, you see my favorite mountain, the Stockhorn – the first thing I see every morning and a view I return to many times throughout the day. And when you sit on the bench, you overlook the Gürbe Valley, the whole valley stretching out below. I truly love this view.
