For this edition of The AP Journal, we meet Eliana, a member of the ANN PERICA team whose love for creativity, craftsmanship and meaningful connections shapes both her work and her everyday life. She shares her personal relationship with jewelry, the family stories behind the pieces she holds closest, and the people and places that continue to inspire her.
WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT IN YOUR DAILY LIFE OR PROFESSION?
I'm Eliana, and I joined the Ann Perica team in September 2025. I've always been inspired by the beauty found in everyday moments — the small details that make them meaningful — and by people who move through life with authenticity. From an early age, I developed a deep appreciation for aesthetics, thoughtful design, and genuine human connection.
I have always loved painting and working with my hands, which has been a wonderful way for me to express my creativity. Reading, traveling, exploring different cultures, spending time with my family, my dog, and friends, and being an aunt to my nieces continue to shape and ground me.
Looking back, it feels only natural that I found my way into fine jewelry – it brings together everything that has always inspired me: creativity, craftsmanship, aesthetics, and genuine connection with people.
All of these experiences naturally influence the way I approach my work. I’m passionate about creating meaningful experiences and bringing my clients’ visions to life with care and intention. There’s something incredibly rewarding about collaborating on something deeply personal, where creativity, emotion, craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail come together to create pieces that feel authentic, timeless, and made to last.
WHAT DOES JEWELRY MEAN TO YOU – IN EVERYDAY LIFE OR DURING SPECIAL MOMENTS?
Jewelry has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was inspired by my mother’s ring stack and love for jewelry, while my grandfather had a deep appreciation for exceptional jewelry and beautiful timepieces. They both taught me to see jewelry not simply as an accessory, but as something that carries meaning, history, and lasting value.
To me, jewelry is closely connected to special moments, meaningful relationships, and important milestones. Every piece has the ability to preserve a memory, tell a story, or become part of someone’s personal journey. Beyond that, I see jewelry as a beautiful expression of personality and individuality – something that can be worn every day while carrying a significance that lasts a lifetime.
IS THERE A PIECE OF JEWELRY THAT ACCOMPANIES YOU CLOSELY OR TELLS A SPECIAL STORY?
Yes, absolutely. My engagement ring and wedding band will always hold an incredibly special place in my heart, as they represent one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. In addition to these cherished pieces, I have two rings that Ann Perica created by transforming my grandmother’s jewelry into something new while preserving the memories and emotions connected to it.
Wearing them makes me feel as though I carry my grandparents with me – not only in my heart, but with me every single day. They are far more than beautiful pieces of jewelry; they connect me to my family, my memories, and the love that continues to accompany me throughout life. It’s a feeling that is difficult to put into words, and one I will always treasure.
WHAT IS CURRENTLY INSPIRING YOU OR GIVING YOU STRENGTH?
My two nieces are one of my greatest sources of inspiration and strength. They remind me every day how precious life is. The way they move through the world—with such curiosity, wonder, and lightness—encourages me to embrace life with the same openness.
Watching them discover the world is a constant reminder that there is beauty in slowing down, asking questions, and finding joy in the simplest moments. They inspire me to see the familiar with fresh eyes and to never lose my sense of curiosity. It's a perspective I cherish and one that continues to shape me, both personally and creatively.
IF SOMEONE WERE LOOKING FOR YOU IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD – AT WHICH FAVORITE SPOT WOULD THEY MOST LIKELY FIND YOU?
Although it is no longer my immediate neighborhood, my favorite places have remained the same. During the summer months, you will most likely find me by the lake at Mönchhof, near the bridge by the Rote Fabrik, or somewhere out on Lake Zurich.
It is the place where I feel most at peace—a place where I recharge, spend time with the people I love, and simply enjoy the moment. Being by the water gives me a sense of calm and balance while bringing together everything that makes me feel at home: nature, connection, and the little moments that make life so special.
